Our family is complete now that we have our new fur baby, GiGi. This shelter is down to Earth, clean, and the animals are loved rather than just being caged up like others we’ve visited. I appreciated the space having a large fenced area to meet the dogs and see how they react to kids, playing, and commands. GiGi is the whole package, I honestly can’t believe how she was ever placed in a shelter but it was meant to be that we found her! Bonus, the adoption fee includes the animals immediate medical needs! The staff is friendly, professional, and honest about all of the information that is gathered about the animals. If you’re wanting to add a member to your family, please visit here first!

Idk why some of these reviews are so low. This shelter is run either solely or mostly on donations and the workers are so passionate about the animals that they save.

Some kittens were dumped at our store last night. My friend called to speak with someone about picking up some kittens that were dumped at the business. The person that answered the phone was very rude and informed us that their facility was not large enough to pick up perfectly healthy animals but we were more than welcome to call the county commissioner and tell them that they need a larger facility. What in the actual hell??

Staff loves the animals and we're very informative. I got a beautiful female Beagle from here, and she is the light of my wife's and my life.

Do you charge a fee to take in a dog that we can not care for. Do y'all have room for her?

Yes of course! The shelter gladly takes donations of all kinds including toys, wet and dry cat/dog food, cleaning supplies and monetary. They also have many volunteer opportunities for those interested in helping out with the animals and currently works with the Liberty County to provide a place for probation persons to work off their community service hours as well. Give then a call or stop in Tuesday-Saturday from 1pm-5pm for details!

Well I would give him a call if I were you

I have 3 cats that are strays that linger in my front yard. Ones a female and other two are males (so i think) they are very distant and do not come close to humans. Id like to trap the and get them fixed and their ear notched. Do you lend out cages?

The shelter doesn't but Animal Control does at their new facility on off of Lee place road. I believe they just ask for a deposit and return your money upon return of the trap.
