Food is not good and service is worse.

From start to finish not the greatest experience. When I walked in I wasn't even greeted by the hostess because she was too busy looking at her phone. Sooooo the place was really dead but for some reason I couldn't get anyone to come to our table. I looked around and there were 2 girls on their phones at the hostess station and one bartender and my waitress was literally nowhere to be found. I finally had to ask the hostess if I could please get something to drink. The food was fine but service was SERIOUSLY lacking.

The wife and I arrived prior to 2pm to receive lunch specials. Wife ordered slice and salad, I ordered 1/2 hoagie no mayo, no mushrooms and salad. We had to order twice in a time span of 5 mins. Server came back 3rd time to say they didn't have slice, they were out, did we want to share a pizza or did wife want a small pizza at full cost and side salad at full cost. She politely said no, he wanted his order and she wanted what she ordered, asked to see manager. Another server came and ask same question, again wife asked to see manager. Finally manager came and was explained the situation and manager finally said she would bring small 4 small slice pizza and salad for same price as special, we agreed and we thought was the right thing to do. Wife got her ordered in a timely manner. My hoagie came next and was covered with mushrooms, told server the problem, he said he told them no mayo, no mushrooms. He offered to return it and fix another one. I declined and mostly scraped off mushrooms. I had to later request for my salad as I finished my hoagie. To the end of finishing our meal, we had to request our check be brought out. Final results, server only charged us for 2 salads and 1 drink. Which is less than we agreed upon. We were prepared to pay full price for 2 lunch specials, the server tried to make it right, so thank you for that. His tip reflected as if I paid full price. There was only a few people in the restaurant during our entire time we were there. Hope things get better.

I’ve always been a fan of Mellow Mushroom. But I think they must be way understaffed at the moment because we went on a Sunday and they were only seating the front half of the restaurant, we were the only table on wait and still was 45 minutes to an hour before we got sat. I’ll still be back as always, just praying more workers come their way.
