Loved the axe throwing part but some of the staff was a little hostile.

The perfect setting for people to get together. The smell of wood engulfs you as soon as you walk in the door , the atmosphere was very intimate with a touch of competition. Staff was excellent, couldn’t have asked for better. Great way of letting out some frustration while having fun at the same time .

Our family vacation was in Isle of Palms this year and we wanted to do something different. None of us had ever been axe throwing before and we were lucky enough to find Chucktown. I had made reservations online in (2) blocks of four and had inadvertently booked two separate dates. The guy at the desk couldn’t have been more understanding/accommodating especially with it being Labor Day. He provided training on how to throw the axe, safety, and scoring. He also watched us throw a few times and gave some pointers one on one. We had a great time/experience and if we lived in the area, we would definitely come back. Good people deserve good things so I wish this place much success! Side note: the beers from the attached brewery were awesome too!

Questions & Answers

Is it kid friendly

We are definitely kid friendly. We leave it up to the parents to decide to allow them to throw as long as they are supervised. Typically 12 years old is a good starting age.

Just a quick question... Do you have to book ahead of time or do they do walk ins?

Walk in most of the time isn't a problem. It just depends when u try. The later you wait on weekends little harder. But wait isn't that long and u can have few drinks and food while waiting
