Professional services, with frankly advice for my daughter. They offer free evaluation and didn't recommend her to take any brace.

The staff at Pitner Orthodontics was extremely friendly, helpful, and patient with my daughter. Everyone made her feel comfortable. She enjoys her monthly visits (which is a HUGE plus!).

Questions & Answers

Out of the several types of orthodontic treatment used, braces are the most common which work by placing gentle pressure on your teeth which shift them into the right position thus creating a perfectly straight smile.

Why should i get orthodontic treatment?

Andy Jame | Oct 23, 2019
Pitner Orthodontics of Columbia | Oct 23, 2019

Perfectly aligned teeth are not just aesthetically-pleasing and a boost to your confidence. Misaligned teeth are often difficult to protect from cavities, tooth decay and plaque buildup as it’s very difficult to properly care for misaligned teeth. Gaps or tight spaces may allow for trapped food particles, which feed the bacteria on your teeth.

Is an Orthodontics the same thing as a dentist?

Dillon Webb | Oct 23, 2019
Pitner Orthodontics of Columbia | Oct 23, 2019

An orthodontist is a specialized dentist with extensive dentofacial studies. Though some dentists can attend continuing education courses to perform certain basic orthodontic procedures, more complex orthodontic cases require a specialist.

What are the benefits of Orthodontics?

These are a few of the benefits of orthodontic care include: A straighter, beautiful smile Increased confidence in one’s appearance Improvement in teeth and bite function Improved dental hygiene and health of gums and teeth Reduce teeth wear Reduced chances of injury for front teeth that protrude from the mouth

What are the early signs of Orthodontics problems?

Jenna W | Oct 23, 2019
Pitner Orthodontics of Columbia | Oct 23, 2019

Although determining if treatment is necessary can be difficult, the following signs may help in prompting you to seek orthodontic advice: crowded or overlapping teeth, gaps between the teeth, front top teeth not lining up with the bottom teeth, top front teeth not meeting with the bottom teeth and top front teeth covering more than 50% of the bottom teeth can signal the need to investigate. If you see any misalignment of shifting of the jaw, your child may have a skeletal problem, which may require early orthodontic treatment. These are only some of the obvious symptoms of orthodontic problems.

What is typically the down payment for braces as well as monthly payment?

Mercedes Terry | Oct 22, 2020
Pitner Orthodontics of Columbia | Oct 22, 2020

It depends on the individual, but the required down payment varies between $250-500 and monthly payments are usually from $200-350. You can also extend your monthly payments past the time of treatment which can lower the monthly payment more.
