Just talked with Melvin one of the techs for turf masters. I don't know anything about the company as I use a different lawn service. However he is a great representative for the company and was very polite.

This review is based on my experience being a Turf Master customer. I will update this review if anything changes. I signed up for service with Turf Master in March 2021 with Nestor (sales rep) and paid a year in advance so I could get their advance pay discount. They came all throughout 2021 and overall I did see improvement in my lawn. I still had occasional weeds pop up here and there but it did look better than when I had started. I was told by the sales guy that I would be offered discount again in 2022 if I decided to prepay. When year 1 was up I was considering changing to another company and then all of the sudden they show up and do round 1 on my yard and charge me for the visit. I call into customer support and get the run around about options to prepay for year 2. I tell them I'm considering switching and I'm told I still need to pay for the round 1 treatment that I had never agreed to (it was outside of the 1st year I had prepaid for). Come to find out they will just keep sending folks out to service and charge full price even though I had been clear I wanted to prepay to get a larger discount. Fast forward 8 months, I start to seriously consider signing back up or signing with a competitor. I call them first and speak with Logan in Aug 22 and I explain to him how I was frustrated that they had billed me for a service I hadn't signed up for. He explained to me how their annual sign ups work and told me he was confident if I signed back up he could waive the previous balance for the round 1 they had done without my approval. I contacted him a month later and he replied that he has spoken with his manager and they wouldn't remove the fee. I emailed him back and asked for him to reconsider with the manager and I never heard back. Back to my neighbors great looking yard... I spoke with him and he explains that he has service with Top Turf. I contacted them and they wanted my business. Signed up and done with Turf Master. Turf Masters service was fine 7 out of 10. Their billing was horrible 0 out of 10. Their customer support was 5 out of 10. Go compare their reviews online with other competitors like Top Turf. There's a reason they are poor.

My name is Jerad Scharrer and my family and I moved into our new home in May of this year. I added a couple of photos for an example, but after 4 months so far our grass is very patchy and weeds coming up in numerous places. So rather than seeing improvement as it's new grass we are seeing the opposite. We're being patient as I know these things take time, but today really irritated me. We had a service scheduled and my sister in law stopped by to run an errand with my wife and parked her car on the curb. Our tech rang the doorbell and about 20 seconds later went back to her truck and drove off. Minutes later I get a text saying, "Hi this is Symone from Turf Masters. I'm going to have to reschedule due to the cars parked out on the street blocking your property. Sorry for any inconvenience. Thanks." She gave me no time to get downstairs as I was in bed and didn't even call either to request I move the car so she would park on the curb. This was unprofessional and this employee demonstrated a lack of care and want to provide service and its unacceptable. Stood at our door literally 20 seconds.... I have video footage of how little effort she made if you want that emailed to you. So far it hasn't been worth the money yet.

Absolutely awesome experience with this company, they gave me realistic expectations of what to expect over the course of a year When they showed up they presented exceptional customer service, and also professionalism! Best Lawncare company around.

The best way to avoid weeds is to prevent them with our lawn care program. A thick dense turf is your best defense against weeds. You can also pull them making sure to get the root.
At Turf Masers, we utilize the most environmentally responsible methods aimed to eliminate the entire colony of fire ants. A one-time application of our treatment ensures a fire ant free yard for up to 1 year. Guaranteed.
To have the best lawn possible, we recommend our Lawn Care Program. Turf Masters’ comprehensive Lawn Care Program utilizes unique combinations of properly timed treatments consisting of pre- and post-emergent weed controls, fertilization and lime designed to keep your lawn healthy and looking its best all year long. Our 7-round program is specialized for your specific type of grass. We complete our turf lawn service in 7 rounds--what normally takes our competitors 8 or 9. We ask the homeowner to water and mow properly throughout the year as well.
Applying a quality pre-emergence herbicide according to label instructions before soil temperatures get too warm is the best way to prevent it. Of course, having a thick, healthy lawn can win, but it is tough—real tough. A properly applied pre-emergence herbicide labeled for crabgrass should prevent virtually the weed throughout the summer.
Armyworms go through a generation every 6 weeks or so, and some years, each generation travels northward, as the moths can fly 60 miles with wind. Because of this, fall armyworm pressure varies from year to year. Some years, damage is sporadic; in others, we get millions of these lawn destroyers.
Unfortunately, we don't offer those service. We focus on lawn fertilization and weed control.
These annual weeds germinate in late fall, grow in the winter and rear their ugly heads in the spring.
Armyworms are destructive pests that consume turf grasses, but they'll feed on vegetables and other plants when food is scarce. They eventually become moths, but it's the worm-like larvae stage that cause the most damage. When large numbers are present in your lawn, armyworms may seem to march side-by-side like an army battalion. Heavy infestations can destroy lawn grasses in just a few days.
Our core aeration process involves removing plugs or “cores” of soil and thatch from the lawn with commercial grade aerators. Core aeration reduces soil compaction, creating a channel through which oxygen, water and nutrients can penetrate the soil. Turf Masters aerates over the grass twice, providing “double-pass” coverage, to ensure the entire lawn is thoroughly decompacted. ~Loose soil for better oxygenation ~Better water uptake in the soil ~Improved fertilizer uptake and use ~Reduced water runoff and puddling ~Stronger lateral turfgrass growth ~Improved root health for better drought and heat tolerance ~Decreased thatch ~Reduced soil compaction ~Prevention of Dollar Spot, Zoysia Patch and other lawn diseases
