I became a foster for NCHS a little more than a year ago. I was involved with another rescue up by Lake Lanier until 2017 when they closed their doors. I have really enjoyed being a part of this group. The kindness and dedication to be there for dogs and cats in need by a group of volunteers is inspiring. My role is minor compared to the logistics involved in getting a pet rescued and adopted to the right home. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of NCHS.

They do God's work. I'd also like to say I'm disgusted with all the people who decided to adopt a dog during coronavirus and then bring it back to the Humane Society when life went back to normal.

The sections that I seen appeared to be clean and organized I'm hoping to volunteer there over the next few months and I hope to improve what I can and help what I can to take care of the animals and help the staff.

We have a surrender request form on our website if you’d like to complete that! It’s found at www.nchsrescue.org/resources. Alternatively, you may rehome on your own at rehome.adoptapet.com
They can volunteer, but it would not be paid! Info can be found at www.nchsrescue.org/get-involved
At this time, we do not. We do accept dry and wet cat or dog food, gently used pet toys, cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, and several other items!
Unfortunately, our facility is by appointment only for adoptions and donations!
We suggest having them spayed or neutered before adopting them out! That can happen around the 8-10 week mark when they’re 2 pounds.
We do not! HELP Spay/Neuter Clinic or West GA Mobile Vet are great resources for those needs though.
You can go the NCHS page there should be a volunteer area you can fill out, or you could go to pokey place and talk to someone there if you like.
Here's their website: http://www.westmobilevet.com/
Kids under 18 can volunteer with Adult supervision.
I believe u can donate them at the establishment on Selt Rd
Hi,Sorry about the weird post,if u got it?At this point in my journey of servitude (t ok God and animals),[ find it super difficult to go into the shelters. Most of my dealings are outdoors with feral cats. You can use Petfinder.com,Jack Russell Rescue, small dog rescue. There are many places and so many that need homes!!!Thank you for reaching out and for considering adoption of a homeless pet.Feel free to contact me if I can help in anyway?Donna
No, NCHS pulls from Animal Control. We cannot take animals from the public. You would need to take the dog to Animal control
They have a website where you can look at the available animals.
