I sent a package 📦 to Lynchburg from Richmond they said in was at the odd fellows road office we got there and they said it wasn't enough tracking numbers so I text her a picture of the receipt with tracking number on it. Then they said it was on the truck to be delivered it's now 10:00pm 08 -19 -2022 NO package at all.whats going on with this post office in Lynchburg

While in the process of vacation and moving, we put a hold on our mail. On two occasions during the month it was on hold, I came into collect the mail, while continuing to hold. There was no mail on the first occasion, and on the 2nd, medications that were to be delivered got sent back to the pharmacy. I asked if the mail would have been sent to some other place. On both occasions we were told the hold card was present. At the end of our vacation, I went to gather the mail and submit a change of address. I was told there was no mail, and no hold card. Finally, getting a hold of the supervisor, he apologized, contacted the carrier, and had all mail from the old address returned to the office. He asked if I would come back the next day to pick it up. I did, but a different carrier picked up the mail and delivered it again to the old residence. The same supervisor apologized again, and asked if I would return today, a third trip, to pick it up and he would make sure it was here. The woman I just spoke to informed me that he was doing a courtesy and I should have put in a change of address. She was rude inappropriate, and speaking out of turn without knowing the situation. That kind of disrespect is inappropriate for anyone working with the public. I am quite sure some of our bills will be late because they were never delivered appropriately. I also know that my 89-year-old mother is going to be wrestling with mail order pharmacies because the US postal service didn't follow their own rules. Very unhappy!

I am at this post office in line and Janice is the only clerk helping customers. She said 30 minutes ago that someone was coming up to help her. Just a minute ago Liz showed up to help her.

MULTIPLE TIMES! I live in an apartment complex.. UPS/DHL have no problem throwing packages at my door when its amazon.. why cant USPS reach it?

Was it a certified letter? If not I would recommend having it sent to you that way if it is important paperwork. The letter will be given directly to your mail carrier and they will have to stop and knock and get you to sign for it. But if it's not I would also recommend them putting a tracking number on the envelope so you can track the letter. Sometimes with the post office the mail could end up at a different house and sent back. The mail could of been misplaced and is taking time to get it back in the direction it needs to go. Sometimes if the mailing address is wrong in anyway the letter can or will he sent back to the sender all this does take about 2-3 weeks.

No! you have a regular mail carrier sometimes he may need a little help so therefore someone else my do that part of the route.
Call the delivery supervisor for your zip code and the Carrier may recognize the error anyway and gat it to the right place anyway.
