ASA, Its not based on no school of thought really, tho most of the founding memebers follow hanafi & shafi.There no assigned Imaam jus different khateebs. But we are Sunni. It a diverse masjid; Pakistanis, African, Shams, African-American & other places. Me personally am African-American & my minhaj is Ahlus Sunnah wa Jamaa'ah, i dont blindly follow behind a specific madhhab, i follow what is Sahih, i dont celebrate Muhammad(saaaws) born day but some do.
