I went there yesterday and I must tell you what a great experience I had. Ben the RSO (range safety officer) made the experience even better! The range was clean, all safety procedures were followed to the “T”. I had plenty of time to shoot without feeling rushed. This by far is the best shooting range I have ever been to! It is so much better to shoot outside than in an enclosed building. You can’t beat the setting either. Nestled in the mountains of western North Carolina. Double thumbs to Ben!!! I will definitely be going back…

Our shooters are the some of the best people I’ve ever met. Full disclosure.. I’m the RSO.

Great place to shoot.

I have been to this range 3 times and each time I was happy to feel welcomed and safe. Range Master Ben was kind and really ensures everyone is safe and adhering to the rules. He never misses a beat!

I would like to know the answer to this as well. I have a 12g pump I need to pattern 4 or 5 different types of Buckshot as well as 2 different types of slugs with.. and it's ridiculously hard to find anywhere around here that I can afford to shoot at, and that allows shotguns at all.. especially a 12g running something besides birdshot.
It is free. If you've never been there before you have to watch a video and sign of thing to get a card but no cost. Bring your ear and eye protection
Yes
A staple gun or duct tape, but that's personal preference.
Yes
No, Sir they do not.
Yes, on the pistol range.
No, reservations required but you might have to wait if it's busy.
I wouldn't recommend taking the dog up there there's all kinds of calibers that get shot. And dogs having sensitive ears I wouldn't recommend it
You could shoot handguns in the past. However there has been refinements made to the shooting lanes and safety officers have been added.
Yes, but like Mr. Rigby said, no flying targets. You can use clay pigeons, but they have to be manually placed. Not a lot of bird guys go unless they are just patterning a choke. Mostly tactical guys giving their rigs a workout.
3 rifle up to 100 yds and 2 pistol up to 20 yds
Yes. I have even seen guys doing the .45 caliber air rifles.
Went and asked. It’s a firm no. Supper nice range officer though!
No. No charge. The ranger there is very nice and will answer any question you may have. Plus the drive is exceptionally pretty.
