During last Sundays worship service the pastor was delivering the church news at the pulpit, He mentioned that one of our church pastors "was not with us here today because he is at St Olaf being inducted in the athletic hall of fame". Are you serious? First, Not church news and no one really cares about college sport activities from 15+ years ago. Second, bad timing when half of Florida has been recently destroyed from Hurricane Ian. If any pastor from this church was in Florida donating their time and services to hurting Florida residents that would be worthy of taking the time to bring up during a worship service, a Christian act of kindness and not for selfish reasons. Shame on Mt Olivet! Practice what you preach.

The MPD presence at Mount Olivet in the street directing traffic says something about who is welcome here. MPD is hostile to a whole segment of our population and Mount Olivet is declaring what is important and who they value. Very bad optics.
