Community, culture and caring! I am a very lucky resident at the A-Mill Artist Lofts, why? Because living here means you are surrounded by history, culture and a creative community. From the fascinating stories of all the residents, to the many amazing spaces to create and expand your horizons, PLUS each apartment is beautiful, unique and has amenities that are superior to many “luxury” buildings out there! Scot, the wonderful community director and AMill head honcho is passionate about people and creating events, activities and always stops to say hello and inquires about how you are doing. Imagine living in a place that celebrates the community by creating a yearly festival with music, space to show work! It’s a very special place with really wonderful people around every fascinating turn. If you get the opportunity to live here, it’s pretty magical.

Living at A-Mill was one of the most beautiful parts of my life. The community there is indescribable. Everywhere you turn, there is a friend. It wasn’t perfect but it was home for me. From the smell in the garage as you pull in, the caverns underneath the building, the history of the Pillsbury factory, the insane amount of amenities, the location right on the river on historic Main St, and living with artists and creating along side one another, I love A-Mill through and through. Not to mention that rent is low compared to basically any other place in the Twin Cities due to the Tax Credit program. If I could give A-Mill more than 5 stars I would.

Questions & Answers

How do you pay your rent?

Kyle Tharaldson | Oct 23, 2019

Via the online portal, or directly to the office. Most leases still provide for a drop box, I think, but the company eliminated the drop box a year ago or more. Late fee of approximately $80 after the third of the month, and if you pass the 9th they file a UD. Extremely draconian company when it comes to paying rent. Generally obtuse about how this affects tenants.
