Friendly staff, food was excellent, dip ice cream for dessert and fudge for later,, really nice gift shop,, great location, right across the Greenbriar River from Cass Railway, excellent trout fishing and no cell service close to Greenbank observervatoty. Did I say how friendly the staff was, it's worth mentioning twice if I did. Look forward to coming back, it is also in ski country and beautiful views! Hotel look is decieving as rooms are clean and well maintained.Ground floor has a Restuarant and Grocery store.Restuarant Food that is served is good. Nearby things to do here are Cass Scenic Railroad,Green Bank observatory,Greenbair River bike trail,tubing and Snow Shoe.This hotel falls under quite zone so no cell phone reception in 45 mile radius.City provided wifi is available here.

Stopped by for dinner and decided to spend the night here. The food was great as it had a hook cook meal breakfast was no exception. The room was clean and comfortable. When you are looking for a place to be and get away from the city Bear Creek lodge is the place to be.

I absolutely loved this place. the price was great, the staff friendly, and the room was awesome. For someone who wants to slow down and enjoy quiet this is perfect. I loved that my cell phone wasn't dinging constantly. The tone really matched the rustic feel of the room.The Cass railroad is literally right across the street so my son was thrilled to watch the trains in anticipation of riding one the following morning. no one can have a good vacation without a good place to stay. Also the handmade soap in the rooms was amazing. these are actual people and honestly a lot better and easier to deal with than chain hotels.
