I got a pro desk cashier to radio for someone to get a forklift driver to get me some plywood. She radioed 3 times while I was standing near her and she never got an answer. I waited for 20 minutes. And every other employee I tried to approach turn and walked away. I guess they don't need my buisness.

Just bought a 4’x8’ plywood and asked an employee at the lumber department to cut it for me at 5’ long by 23 3/4” wide. The guy that helped me seemed like he’s not familiar with the saw and didn’t care much about my cuts when he simply just slid the cut board off the cut stand and the other ended hit the ground pretty hard. What’s worst is that he didn’t cut it to my spec at 5’ long and was short by almost half an inch. I called the Home Depot at this location the next day saying that the employee didn’t cut it where he marked at 5’ long and was short by almost an inch. The store manager didn’t apologize and defended the employee, saying that it’s not his fault and that they “don’t do accurate cuts.” I was just amazed by her reply. How could you not be able to do accurate cuts when customers are paying upwards of $40+ for a product? If that’s the case, you have to train the employees to tell the customers beforehand that that’s your practice so they can better make decisions and not waste their hard-earned money. I was told to return it for an exchange, but I’m very disappointed at Home Depot because I’m a DIY and have spent over thousands (combined) of dollars in various Home Depot stores. From now on, I’ll try to avoid Home Depot and just go to Menards or Lowe’s.
