Unexpected stop for us; it started snowing just before we arrived and they closed the road we were supposed to take down the mountain. Ended up having a white Christmas afterall! We were traveling south for the winter from Wisconsin. We ended up having more snow than family back home.

Spotless park. Manager is fantastic. Other residents are nice and friendly. Spots are a little tight. We love it here! Wi-Fi is not good and Verizon reception isn't either.

The Rough Rider Campground has been a frequent weekend camping location for our family. My oldest son loves to fish there with his dad, which gives them a perfect opportunity to bond. Our daughters, who are 6 and 9, love to play under the trees or at the picnic tables. The ambiance of the location is very soothing and refreshing.
