It was a pleasure to deliver to Volvo. They got us in and out in 45 minutes and there was plenty of room to back in

I'm a owner operator driving trucks for over 25 years I have purchased few volvos before. Finally I got my brand new 2023 VNL 860 truck after one year and 2 months waiting time . Through all that time communications were very bad with Volvo seems to me nobody knows what's going on in that plant to get some answers. My brand new truck came pretty bad damaged due to the transportation with a lot of scratches, The truck came with some missing parts ,that I was not informed they will be missing, they put wrong parts, My engine breaking and cruise control is not working. My inside cabinet doors will not close or not lock .And a few other issues. My question to Volvo is where is the quality check control And why did they not catch all those problems with the truck before you ship it. The truck was sitting for one month in the parking lot due to parts shortages they could have checked everything I just spent close to $200000 for a truck and is this what I get. Great quality work volvo I'm not sure I'm buying another volvo. And who's gonna pay me for the downtime when I have to leave my truck in the shop so I can get it fixed for all the problems ,and the damages. When you order a brand new equipment you expect to be perfect not having issues to start working on it ,,that's my opinion thanks everyone.

I dont think so. They announced a layoff last week.
No just 1st and 2nd shift
It's not that easy. You will have to get hired as the first step. Then you will have to do whatever job they give you till your able to bid which is 6 months. Then you put in your bid for test driver and wait till there's a job opening in that classification. Honestly could be quick or take years. And as far as dayshift forget about it you need 20+ years seniority to drive on daylight.
Volvo in Dublin is a manufacturer of trucks. There is no parts store on site.
Chad Porter is probably be the best person to ask.
