Today I went to visit an elderly member of our church congregation. It was mostly self service, but the staff that I did talk to were polite and friendly. I have always found the facility clean and well maintained.

My loved one resides in Mtn. City Nursing & Rehabilitation in Hazle township, PA now for just over thirteen months, begining in April, 2021. I'd like to provide information to anyone reading this review who's interested in Mtn. City as a Long Term Nursing Home for themselves or a loved one. My loved one has been cared for with the utmost respect, dignity, competent-compassionate care that I could ever have hoped and prayed for. In the past forty years I have had an active role in the lives of numerous relatives and friends residing in a dozen different Nursing facilities throughout Luzerne County. I tell you, the entire Mtn. City staff of Nurses, Administrators, Therapists, Doctors., Finance Dept, Housekeeping, Activities and Quality of Life Coordinators, Dining and Maintainence and receptionists, each work very hard and well together to make life much-much more than bearable for the individuals placed in their care. If anyone were to ask me what exactly makes them such an admirable example of high quality health care, I would say it's the overall feeling of trust that they have earned. I think they are special because of the large number of employees with many years of experience that have set an example for the lesser experienced employees and due to the bond they have all forged over the past twenty five months working together through a pandemic. Couple the previous together with a very experienced, knowledgeable and genuiney kind Administrator at the helm and you have what amounts to a High Quality of life Nursing Home.
