I was here for post surgery wound care that was really complicated and Angie, the wound nurse, was absolutely fantastic. All of the staff here were great and I really appreciate everything they did for me during my stay. I wish I could personally respond to the reviews posted within the last 3 to 4 months because I was there and know for a fact the poster is greatly exaggerating. These certain patients should have been in a mental health facility but the families didn't want the hassle so don't blame AHC for not being a psychiatric facility. Your mother screamed for you because she had a headache but where were you? Let us not throw stones from our glass houses.

My mother had wonderful.care at this facility. Everyone was so nice and helpful. She left being able to move like she used to before she fell.

The place is a little old and understaffed, but the people here really do care. That is what matters. In December 2020 my 77 year old dad caught COVID and after his hospital stay he was sent to their COVID wing. My stepmom and I were taking turns daily visiting him through the window and talking to him through the bedside phone. At first he was legitimately weak, but after about a week he was refusing therapy and playing bedridden even though he could walk. He has always been ornery and verbally abusive, and my stepmom was a lot to deal with too. The staff and mgmt. still did everything they could to try to help us, even offering to sit down with my stepmom to fill out papers for the VA and for gov. subsidy to place him in a VA or nursing home. Dad is back in his condo now walking, driving, and functioning like before. Every staff member was good to him and us despite everything. I cannot thank them enough for caring for my dad.

My Mother had to go here for Rehab. On May 19th, To build her strength back up to go home. She was transferred from Hospital to this place. I go in on the 20th to get her paperwork taken care of. Well I was in shock of how Very nasty this place was, 😳. So I go to my mom's room. 407 I also have pictures of the walls in her room. Also The TV did not work on her side of course! And I asked when would she have a TV that worked because it helps her to keep her mind off the pain. I will explain this is only place Hospital could find that had an empty bed. I will be making a call to the hospital to let them know they do not need this place on their list to send anyone that needs help. The whole evening on 20th my mom continued to ask for her water to be filled up, for 3 and a half hours she asked Noone would fill up her cup! I talked with her on her phone, she told me she was so thirsty. So I call the place and ask 3 times for someone to please get my mother some water! Finally the 3rd person got her some. Well so the Next evening my mom's phone had died so I was trying to call nurse to just check in on my mother. I called 14 times Noone would pick up their phone!😡 I even had a friend call from her phone they answered on 1st ring. Then another person to call they again answered on 1st ring. Again! So I call for the 15th time they answer, and I ask to speak to moms nurse for check up on her. They put me on hold for 10 mins. So I go first thing Monday morning and signed my mother out of this Disgusting Place!! They were suppose to have been helping my mother to restroom. AND SHE said she hit nurse call everytime for help they would ask what she wanted she would say help to restroom. NOONE EVER CAME TO HELP HER SHE WAS GETTING UP ON HER OWN AND LET ME SAY SHE IS A FALL RISK with this notice Band on her Arm PATIENT! This place needs to be shutdown! The restroom in my mother's room smelled Like Strong Cat Urine. The only thing the lady that helped me get mom signed back out about all i had ts her was oh she was sorry , that she didnt know who worked weekends , this was the Social worker for this place! And she dont know who works weekends 😳The People they call skilled Nurses IS a Sad Excuse to People who supposed to be helping others, They dont need License to help anyone in my opinion. SAD EXCUSE FOR A NURSING FACILITY 😱☠️
