Omg, I cannot express how happy we are with Dr. Gibney! He quickly became my favorite Dr of all time. His bedside manner is absolutely wonderful. The whole staff on the transplant floor were wonderful!!!

My husband was a living donor for a friend, here at Piedmont, on Aug 13, 2021. Dr Minja was his robotic surgeon. We had a WONDERFUL experience throughout the 6 month process. Leanne was our transplant coordinator. She walked us through the process so well, it was almost like she became a friend. She was extremely responsive and detailed, and I truly feel she was passionate about her job. Dr Minja is an AMAZING person inside. He has a strong faith and a heart of gold. He is truly an incredible guy that is clearly using Gods gifts as a surgeon to save peoples lives. It is absolutely incredible what this team does to complete this process and we will be forever touched by them. My husband said if he had another to give, he would 110% do it again. Thank you Piedmont for saving our friend! #DONATELIFE #TEAMGAREY

Newt, Contact Piedmont for an appointment. I don't know the answer to your question, but I believe they work with individuals from all over the US. Great organization, outstanding care!
You can get your primary physician to refer you to the Piedmont Transplant Center. That's how My husband got in for liver transplant.
You can drink. That much a day is not good. They will reject giving him another one if they find out he's not doing what he should. They can tell by his bloodwork!

Let the correction department director their intent and desire to be a kidney donor
I believe that a recipient patient can arrange for sleeping accommodations for one guest. Donor patients, if I'm not mistaken, are not offered 'rooms' for a guest, however a guest may stay in the room with the donor patient with a fold out chair.
