The old Tasty Diner was infinitely better, Every item on the menu has tripled in price, the quality of their food is at an all time low. Just some young hippies trying to sell low quality food at unreasonably high prices, There's no more home cooked taste. You can better hotdogs out of vending machines. This place will certainly close in the near future.

I tell you what, this place was great! I really enjoyed my meal here. I stopped in for breakfast and had a wonderful meal. Please stop by and help out a small business that seems to be a stable staple of West Asheville! Wish I lived closer and could go more but I will be back whenever I visit from Charlotte. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Unexpected find on our new years Eve trip. This diner was amazing and we can't wait to go back. Fun food and they now have adult milkshakes. Can't wait to try one of those. I got the open face chicken biscuit with gravy and potatoes. Amazing! Next time you are in Asheville, go find this hidden gem and try it for yourself.

We ended up here after randomly taking a right turn and doing a google map search for lunch places. We love hole in the wall places and Tastee Diner did not disappoint! Definitely adding this to the list of places to stop again next time we’re in the area.

Tastee Diner is strictly observing the current regulations for table spacing/maximum occupancy as well as mandatory masks and easy access to hand sanitizer for both staff and guests. In addition, plexiglass has been installed at counter and cash register areas and there is also a really fancy hospital grade purifier named SAM.

Is it family owned and operated

It's locally owned. It had one owner for 30 years and was sold in 2016 to the owner of the Admiral nearby. There may have been some change since I don't know about, but it definitely has the locally owned and operated vibe.
