Great little playground with splash pad. Clean bathrooms stocked with soap and a good amount of shade structures and picnic tables.

Port Royal Park shelters and picnic areas are not available for reservations they are on a first come first serve basis. There are no private parties scheduled on the splash pad or playground. Hope this answers your question.
I didn't see anything inherently dangerous about the ladder, except for the fact that it's a ladder, but I have seen 4 or 5 year olds climb it with no issue.
