Nice trail, really well maintained. We have camped on the river multiple times, always have had an enjoyable time. Lots of traffic noise though.

Great multi use nature area. We only hiked the white and yellow trails on our vist. Trails are very sandy in certain spots. Trails were marked well but you can easily get off marked trails with all the criss-crossing roads that lead to the powerlines that run through the middle of the property. We plan to visit again to hike the red and blue trails.

I only walked the Red Trail to the observation point. Most of the trails (R/W) were sandy. Be prepared to walk through some deep sandy areas. (Do not recommend bringing stroller, even a jogging stroller here.) There was no seating around to rest except one bench I saw at observation point. I was surprised by the amount of ticks present on the trail despite how short the grass was on the trail. (We found ticks on us even though we used outdoor spray.) Make sure to check yourself for ticks and especially pets. Some of the signage was worn or on the ground, so make sure to have a map and keep an eye out for the spray painted markers. It wasn’t the most clear markers at the intersections and helped having the map to figure out which were the trails or some random road cutting through. The trails were wide and no trash was found at all, though much horse poop along trail. (Only trash can I saw was at the parking lot.) Unfortunately I was not fully prepared to be removing ticks off ourselves and our dog which added much stress to our trip.

Miles of trails. Go through at least half a dozen Florida ecosystems. Would've rated 5 stars but a lot of boaters have discovered the inlet so it's not so private anymore. Tons of flowers and wildlife. 2 different campgrounds - one close to the entrance and another on the river (about 3 miles from the trailhead).

Bicycles are prohibited at the Black Creek Ravines Conservation Area due to the sensitive nature of the ravines. Learn more about this property at www.sjrwmd.com/lands/recreation/black-creek-ravines. Find other properties near you and the activities allowed at each by visiting www.sjrwmd.com/lands
Yes. Just keep on leash and clean up after them.
There is camping by permit. It has two primitive sites. One by the entrance with a porta-potty and one by the creek about a 1.5 mile hike. So the hours are sunrise to sunset unless you have a permit to camp.
Any recommendations? New to the area and waiting to get my puddle jumper registered?
Actually there are some designated camping spots but its quite a hike to get to them
