Not really sure why there are so many low votes. This is one of the best Dr offices / urgent cares in the area. I have been to many over 10 years of living in sugar hill / Lawrenceville / Duluth, and never really being satisfied with doctors or clinics. I see Dr Doku here and she's phenomenal, I don't want to go anywhere else after finding this office.

Went into the Buford Urgent Care on 9/3 for severe pain on right side to include head, face, ear, eye and throat. Turned out to be an ear infection. Taken back quickly. Attentive staff. Took great care of me. Gave me a shot for pain that gave me some relief. I was also prescribed an antibiotic. Here’s the issue - I asked for an additional medicine I knew I would need after taking an antibiotic. The doctor told me to call back in if needed and they would send the prescription to my pharmacy. Well I needed the prescription like I knew I would. Called and left two messages on a Friday morning for nurse or someone to call back. By noon, no one ever called back. I tried to send a message/request via MyChart and the system wouldn’t allow me to send a message. So I had to drive back to the urgent care and request this medication in person. I didn’t want to go into the weekend without it. Once back at the clinic, I had to wait over 30 minutes. A nurse finally spoke to me to understand what I needed, asked the doctor, and then said prescription would be sent. All of that for a simple medication that was requested at initial appointment. Such an inconvenience and lack of concern when the doctor could have easily listened to me and prescribed at initial appointment.

Called an got a appt the same day. Front office staff was very nice she walked me right back. The room she put me in was like a ice box she said she staff has called an reported it but no one has fixed it yet. That’s one thing if your not feeling good you sure don’t want to be in a freezing room. The nurse came in did all of my test she was very nice. I love the dr. And the pa I’ve seen both. The dr. Take the time with you and answers any and a of my questions. I will be using them from now on.

I went to NGPG family medicine in Buford Ga for the first time on Thursday July 7, 2022. I was there to get antibodies for Covid 19. The lady that checked me in and walked me back to the room was very nice and professional. However, it went down hill from there. The first nurse ( LPN) entered the room and never introduced herself. Shortly after an RN came in and worked only on the computer. The 1st nurse that was giving me the infusion had a hard time finding a vein, when she finally did she missed and it was infiltrated. I complained about the pain and she said it shouldn’t be hurting, then she realizes shes not even in the vein. No kindness or words for that matter at all! After the infusion they have you stay for 1 hr to make sure you don’t have a reaction. She opened the door one time about 10 mins after injection to check on me. After the hr was up she opened the door and said …. You can go! As she was walking away! I’m not sure what I was expecting from this office but that nurse was so impersonal and unprofessional. I already felt so sick physically and this sure didn’t help. I’m never one to get online and give terrible reviews but this was an experience I hope no one else has to go through. I’m so happy my NGPG group is in Gainesville. I had to come to this location for infusion. Never again!

Yes you do! This isn't like a urgent care and if you're looking for a new doctor be prepared to wait a few weeks for your first appointment.
Primary care is located there also.
