Beautiful, mostly shaded, fully elevated and trex decked pathway makes a comfortable, short, and enjoyable walk. You can start at the boat launch side and do a full loop going from Red Maple Swamp Trail to the Penniman House to a trail behind the house that leads to the lookout and from there to Indian Rock (via Fort Hill Trail) and back to the start.

Reverend Treat would be proud of the way his ancient land is used as a sanctuary, living history and astonishing nature habitat. The park personnel are great guardians of one of Cape Cod's great touchstones. From a classic Red Maple swamp to fantastic vista's overlooking Nauset, the outer beach and Coast Guard Life Station, this park has it all. Fantastic walking trails, terrific swamp boardwalk and a restful gazebo. Yes, there is the mansion, restrooms and parking.

This place is a special place to walk. Like your going into a different world . The marsh turns into beautiful old tall tall trees with the path comfortable and lined with information about the plants and trees your seeing. A great place to kyack as well at the end of trail.

This is a little gem of natural habitat for frogs, snakes, redwing blackbirds, hawks, red maples, ferns, and summer sweet. This trail is tucked between a marshy boat landing with access to the Atlantic at Coast Guard and Fort Hill.
