It wasn’t crowded when we went. Always a good idea to take a quick picture though to give way to other people. The red and white contrast makes for a very charming photo. Try to stick to the path, their bushes are thorny, not to mention you would be destroying vegetation.

Most beautiful beach area of the Cape! Used to come here as a child and often since, it's changed a lot. Now they're building new bathhouses (don't know what happened to the old ones). My National Park Pass gets me in, but it's best to be early. The beach is the attraction for me.

If you like exploring lighthouses and are up for the adventure this is a must stop. We were there on memorial day, so parking was free, but it did seem like that is not always the case.

A short walk from the parking lot is the Nauset Lighthouse. At the present time one is unable to enter the lighthouse, but you are able to walk up close to it. As we got closer we found the house where someone used to stay and observe the lighthouses to ensure they were functioning properly. Then my family and I went on another short walk to the Three Sisters Lighthouses. They look like three women in white dresses with black hats. They used to be near the beach, but due to erosion they were moved further inland in 1989. Although they are no longer functional it is great to walk through, and learn the history.

There is a suggested donation around 5$. Parking is free in the evening at the beach.
The very top by the moving lights you cannot get to. You can only stick your head through a hatch and see the very cool moving parts. There are port holes that you can see the views with in all directions just under the actual lights .
I went there couple of times, but haven't seen visitors are allowed into the lighthouse.
