The new owners have changed too much. The old servers were great- the current ones are inattentive and take 20+ min to come tend to their tables. The food is fine and doesn't seem like it's changed, but with the missing staff from pre-crown hospitality this place is not the sanctuary it once was. As a long time midtown resident I won't be returning.

This WAS one of my favorite "go to" places in the city to eat. Sadly things have changed. I just returned from four weeks vacation overseas when a friend suggested we go to Senor Patron's for Mexican and Margaritas which we do all the time. We walked in and the interior obviously had some upgrades but I also noticed that none of the wait staff seemed to be the same. We sat down and and ordered our usual skinny margaritas, my taco salad and his two tacos. Food service that was once lightening quick was no more. It took forever to get our food order. We got a second skinny margarita and out waiter brought us more chips and salsa. The food finally came. My taco salad was 50% smaller than it was in my last visit and the meat was VERY over-salted. My friend's tacos were dripping with grease and he remarked the the meat was also very salty. I only ate half of the smaller taco salad and he could not finish his two tacos. It was just bad. We asked for our check and we both got a big sticker shock. My bill for my taco salad and two skinnies was $41.00 (substantially more expensive than my last visit). My friend's bill was over $45.00 for two tacos, two skinnies and and a small cup of queso. Apparently our small skinnies cost around $14.00 each (and they were weak and full of ice). I asked the waiter if the place had changed ownership and he responded, "yes" and asked if we noticed. We told him we noticed and not in a positive way. We paid our bills and left. We won't go back. It's a shame that such a well-run "go to" place to eat has taken such a bad turn. I wish the new owners luck. I have a feeling they will need it. To his credit, our waiter was really good but he could not make up for everything else that was wrong. Save your money and go to Taco Bell and make your own margaritas. The food an drinks will be better and you won't be overcharged for the experience.
