The wait time for an appointment was not as long as expected, but I wonder if that has to do with billing. I was advised someone would reach out prior to my appointment to confirm the cost. Not only did I never receive any information, I was told upon arrival that they would require an up front payment of my ENTIRE remaining deductible before they could see me. I have NEVER had anyone require my FULL deductible up front. Generally speaking, I have been charged the cost of service prior to my deductible being met. The billing person was also unable to provide any additional details of why this was required, which was frustrating due to my insurance covering psychiatric services BEFORE my deductible is met. This is disheartening as it makes services inaccessible for those who cannot afford to fork over hundreds of dollars at once. Seeing as there are lots of psychiatrists in the area, I would avoid this place simply due to their billing practices.

I love Dr. Penland, he's an amazing unjudgmental doctor.. He's always thoughtful and he listens. I have never had any prescription issues. I have had a few problems with scheduling. But it has always been fixed.

Never had any issues here. The psychiatrists have always taken care of me, the technicians are always caring and kind, and I've never had any issues with medication or scheduling. Note that calling will result in a automated service, but will quickly be able to connect you to an actual human being.
