Depends on tribes. For mine, it's a quarter minimum. For others, it could be less, could be more. Just have to find out what tribe your ancestors were.

I am 1/4 Indian. Am I eligible for any type of help? Specifically, I need an attorney to help me with my father's estate, having his Will read and put in probate. My sister is executor of his will and had power of attorney for my father.

It depends on what tribe your father is enrolled with and their requirements for enrollment for you. If you go on the BIA website, it has a section when you click on "Programs and Services" that have a legal section you click that will give you the info needed for them to help you with his estate. Hope this helps!

Contact ICWA since those records were probably sealed and they should be able to help you.
