Good luck I have had nothing but trouble from Denver police, its better if you just show up to your jurisdictions office and even then it depends on where the backpack was stolen.. Again good luck.
I am not sure. I would first determine the nature of the documents. And if it would adversely. Affect you if someone else had them, and how to go about getti g replacements. Before determining who to report it to if need be.
