My family has had an incredible experience with this school, particularly throughout the transition of ownership this year (2022) with the combination of tenured and new/consulting staff. We have two children attending Primrose Castle Rock (our first started in 2019), and the team has worked collaboratively and compassionately to support us through challenges big and small. They go above and beyond in their approach, demonstrating time and time again their commitment to the positive growth and educational experience of our children. Not only do we feel that the staff cares for our kids, but we see the results of their educational approaches; at less than 3.5 yrs old, my son can count to 100, has familiarity with every letter’s phonetic sound, and rattles off facts about classical musicians…just to name a few recent delights. We really love this school and have so much appreciation for the leadership team and staff.

My family had the privilege of calling Primrose of Castle Rock our boy's first school. We had both our boys there from a only a few months old and moving back to Idaho for family this year is the ONLY reason we would ever have left. As a working parent, and a parent of a child in the pandemic... it left a lot of guilt and uncertainty on the table as new parents...Primrose was ALWAYS there with precautions, updates, flexibility, and most importantly love and kindness for our children in a time where constant reliable presence was SO needed. Our boys thrived there, the teachers are passionate and very dedicated to their role in the development of their kids and the relationship with the parents as a true team in raising kind humans. We cannot thank the Primrose family enough for the start they gave our boys and the comfort they gave us as parents. STRONGLY RECOMMEND

It is so difficult to entrust your children - the most treasured individuals in your life - into the care of someone else, but the comfort we have had in our son being at the Castle Rock Primrose has exceeded our expectations. Our son has been enrolled for about 1 year and has thrived. From the onset we felt as if we were being welcomed into a family due to their impressive communication, accommodation and ability to get to know our family on a very personal basis. Our son has felt such love from his teachers and talks about them and his friends incessantly. The facility is clean, bright and well-structured. The most important factor for us was knowing that our son would be safe. We have had numerous conversations with the management and owners as they are incredibly accessible and have been sincerely comforted by their attention to safety including school access and open communication, protocols and drills, and measures towards illness mitigation particularly in the setting of the COVID pandemic. The impressive high-level and structured education our son receives is a bonus on top of the safe and loving environment that had been our goal in choosing a school. We are so excited to have our younger daughter become a part of this wonderful family as well.

So sad to write this however I feel parents should be aware how this school is currently being ran. Our son has attended Primrose in another state for about 3 years and we had an amazing experience. When we moved and joined the Castle Rock Primrose, we were not only disappointed by the lack of feeling welcomed each day by both teachers and management, but this school failed to deliver bare minimum care for our son. On several occasions food was withheld from him when he asked for seconds or he was forced to throw his food away because “he took too long to eat it”. Pick up times would vary for us anywhere from 3pm-5pm and no matter what time we picked up, more times than not, he was not engaged in an activity but was sitting waiting for us with his backpack on. I’m sorry but as a parent, or even just a decent human, that is heartbreaking. Small side note, when walking down the halls, we saw teachers (especially in the infant rooms) constantly on their phones. I hope this school turns it around but I am so happy we no longer drive away each morning after drop off with a horrible feeling.

Every child learns at their own pace because every child is unique. At Primrose schools, teachers use a variety of tools throughout the year to collaborate with families and monitor each child’s progress. This helps them understand each child’s individual needs and provide the personalized support that helps them excel.
We call our curriculum the Balanced Learning® approach. It is designed to inspire children to think with creativity, compassion and resourcefulness. Primrose school teachers not only guide children as they learn letters, numbers, science and more, but they also weave in character development and life skills opportunities throughout the day so children can develop social and relationship skills.
We require all teachers to be certified in first aid and CPR, in addition to ongoing health and safety training throughout the year. Teachers are also trained on common signs of illness with signage placed in each classroom. Learn more here: https://tinyurl.com/yakwfr8g
Teachers and students practice frequent handwashing throughout the day and adhere to a strict sick policy. Temperature checks, touch free check in, and limitations on visitors may also be implemented to minimize risk to all. Learn more here: https://tinyurl.com/y7gutztv
Items like high-touch toys, playground equipment, and other common surfaces are disinfected frequently throughout the day. Sheets and blankets from cribs are laundered daily; for older children, individual cots and blankets are provided for each child and are laundered on a weekly basis. We require any students or staff with respiratory illness symptoms or fever to stay home until fever free for at least 24 hours.
