Although we had a paid reservation for a family room, we arrived around 9:00PM (without calling), and they gave our family room away. We think that they should have held the room. We really needed another bed or roll-away, but the minimum offer was to give us two non-adjoining rooms. This wasn't really acceptable to us. After some minor hassle, and quite a crowd of people trying to get rooms at this late, we decided to try letting the oldest teen sleep on the floor (military cadet, anyway). The clerk had to go to the back of the property to get a suitable amount of bedding herself, because Housekeeping was long gone. I don't know... if I was the property owner, I would not have given a paid room away. That just seems either greedy or negligent. But we made it work. The double queen room was fine; clean; dated. We only crashed the night and were on our way by 9:30 the next morning. I'll give another place a try the next time I plan on Gallup.

Check in staff was very nice is the only reason for 2 stars . First thing I noticed was there is no elevator. I've been to older places that have elevators . The wooden floors in the room have jelly and stains and needed mopped. The sheets had stains. Luke warm shower water the Jacuzzi was warmer. Clogged toilet when we arrived. And why would your hotel management have the Sisco food truck park right next to our room 250 at 6 am and set his air brakes. No consideration. Restraunts are all backed up because no on wants to work in this town . Next time I'm driving straight through new Mexico. Sand and depressing state

I would recommend not taking your shoes off if you want clean socks or feet. Floors are swept but absolutely not clean. Told them and they did "clean/mop" the floor in my room but it's was still dirty. Fridge is cool but not cold...yes I did adjust the temp but the fridge is a POS and needs replaced. Suppose I'm asking too much for what a person spends...

The room itself was as expected: clean. However, it's one of those hotels where rooms are separated by a door... I can hear my neighbors WAY to well, even when they weren't being too loud. Also, I stay in hotels very often for work, and this hotel has the absolute worst internet connection for streaming devices I've experienced. It's so spotty, the movie I watched stopped a few times every 5 minutes. The only reason I sat through the frustrating stream is because I'm pretty sure there's nothing else to do in Gallup...
