cars not maintained, service lights were ON , cars not washed properly

Reservation was made for 10am today. When I got there 15 minutes after my reservation time, I was informed that they did not have any cars available, but there will be some coming back at 12pm. I asked them why we make reservations if there's no guarantee they're going to have what we are reserving. Person at the desk said it's in hopes that they have the cars back at designated times, unfortunately they're running behind. I was not going to be in town at this time & let the person know. They took my name and phone number to call me when the car is actually ready for me. I haven't received a call and it's now 8pm. I've contacted the care team 2x now and have requested to speak with someone that can give me answers, to which is not available. I was told I can schedule with a competitor and they will pay the difference after opening a claim. Well, this would be perfect if it wasn't Sunday and everywhere else was already closed. Please save yourself the trouble and go someplace that's orderly enough.

The Ocala airport location is very unorganized and understaffed, or the staff that is available do not understand how to implement proper customer service. The front desk personnel upon drop-off was not available for nearly 20 minutes and had a line of 4 customers anxiously waiting, calling and roaming the area trying to find a Budget worker to take care of them. The only Budget personnel available was the detailer outside cleaning tires and he apologized then contacted the office worker for us to go back to the front desk. The young gentleman finally returned to the front desk and apologized saying he was helping to clean and move cars, he accepted our keys and put them in a drawer. I asked if I needed to sign anything upon return of the rental and he said no, we're good to go and we left. The following morning the car was finally checked-in as returned and I was charged an extra day plus a late fee because the gentleman did not properly check-in the return the day before. I've spent the last 45 minutes this morning trying to call my local branch to no avail and finally got through to the main Budget customer service number to fix this issue. All around it has been a very stressful and unorganized encounter. At this point I'm not even sure if my reversal of the extra day charge and late fee will go through as the customer support lady said it could take 24 to 48 hours to reverse. So now I have to follow-up again in a couple days when this could have been avoided at my local rental place if the gentleman had done his job correctly. Very disappointed.

Check their website because it depends on the month and when you plan on picking it up and dropping it off. Weekday pick ups are usually cheaper.
If you go online you can check because it ask the pickup and dropoff location.
No. The person picking up the car has to have their name on the card. I tried that once
You can reserve a car without a credit card, but at time of rental you have to be there with your credit card. Your nephew cannot rent a car with your card. Oops, I mean your granddaughters boyfriend.
