Pete's Foreign Otto Shop epitomizes the seemingly lost art of “OUTSTANDING” customer service! I don’t pretend to know the circumstances surrounding other reviewers within this thread who provided negative reviews; but I would have to say that my first experience with Pete’s Otto Shop was nothing short of stellar. For what it’s worth, it seems Pete’s Otto makes every attempt to rectify every legitimate complaint I have seen on this GOOGLE review which is more than I can say for other businesses. I took my 2013 VW Passat TDI to them after experiencing an engine warning light. I was promptly greeted with hospitality by Dan when I entered the office. After describing my vehicles issue Dan provided the timeframe I was looking at in order to make an appointment. I explained to Dan my dire circumstances to resolve the problem with my vehicle and their next available appointment wasn’t conducive to my circumstances. With compassion for my situation, Dan asked if I could leave the car with him and they would work it in ASAP. I agreed and by mid-morning the next day Dan was calling with wonderful news. Not only was the engine warning light no longer a current issue, as it was triggered by a “Stored” code, Dan also agreed to waive the diagnostic fee because in his words “there was nothing to diagnose”. The shop even went so far as to try and reproduce the issues which created the code and even perform a pressure test all to validate the engine warning light was no longer a concern. Pete's Foreign Otto Shop could have been “shady” like so many other shops out there today who lack integrity and honesty. They could have simply charge me the diagnostic fee or even worse charged me for service and/or parts I didn’t need, but they didn’t. When I returned to retrieve my car, I again asked what I owed for the Shop’s time and effort as I fully understand that “Time is Money” and the point of a business is to make money. But again, Dan reiterated to me there was no charge. THANK YOU, Dan and Pete’s Foreign Otto Shop, for your outstanding service. You will definitely be getting my future business. Dan, if you ever read this review, I would just like you to know how much of a positive impact you made in my current circumstances and how grateful I am. I realize you and the shop did much more than simply read and clear the code and could have rightfully charged me for your time and effort. But by waiving any sort of compensation for the Shop’s time, you had more of an impact in my life than you will ever know. For many, a modest shop or diagnostic fee to repair their vehicle isn’t a big deal as it’s an understood reality of owning a vehicle. However, my current circumstances which have been mostly out of my control, have drastically restricted any availability to surplus funds outside of or beyond my mandatory monthly financial obligations. So, to you Dan, I would like to THANK YOU, because what you may have perceived as an insignificant good gesture, had such substantial positive impact for me.

Sent vehicle in for AC twice. Both times I was told it was repaired. Both times the issue came back and the 2nd time it was much worse then when I brought it in. All I was told is keep bringing it in. This is a joke. You can’t charge people for making a situation worse. I don’t recommend at all.
