It was fun! The two things we liked most 1. the route was incredibly scenic 2. We had a strong feeling that the safety of the rafters was #1 priority for the Jim Thorpe River Adventure staff. They kept in eye every raft and were ready to help the participants any second of the trip. Big thanks to all you guys! And just a piece of advice for the future new rafters: the rafts are big and good for a party of 4-6 people. We were a family of three (Dad, Mom and a 12 yo child) so it was really hard for us to use such a big raft, we were exhausted in the end of the trip. So take a few friends with you if you prefer to enjoy your outdoor activity and not to be tired

My family took a beginners trip on August 6th. The trip wasn't bad. A little slow but it was a beginners trip. Don't waste your money on the photos. I bought both photos that were taken and they arrived 10 days later poorly packaged and bent up. Called and was told new ones would be sent. Still waiting 6 weeks later.

Lehigh River Gorge is probably the best white water adventure in the TriState area. Choose a day when there is a water release. Prepare to be wet and have fun.

The staff was super friendly very informative! Did 10 mile bike trail and it was great! Would definitely recommend.

You can schedule as early as May, depending on the weather, but the first big weekend tends to be Memorial day. The earlier in the spring you go, the better the water is!
If you get on at exit 20, it's $8.20 cash or $5.61 with EZ Pass.
Hello there! As a professional outfitter for many years, age restrictions as you call them make real sense. We call them Minimum Ages. The PA Fish & Boat Commission as well as PA State Parks set some of these ages for good reason. We have a section called EasyWater Rafting that has a minimum age of 4. There’s an age minimum of 6 on another section, and an age minimum of 8-10 on our BigTime Rafting, depending on the month. I suggest that anyone interested go to our website, www.jtraft.com, and specifically our ‘Choose a Trip’ page, for answers to these questions posed on Google. Better yet, a quick call to our office will net you a real person, who is fun, smart, and fluent in what we can offer people interested in a whitewater rafting trip. We are definitely not a water park, this is a real river… thanks for posting this question as well as all those who answered! Sincerely, Jerry, owner, Jim Thorpe River Adventures.
I was told after Labor Day or end of September.
Ages 4 & up can go on a raft.
No, you just have to where a mask sometimes.
When we went. I believe that they offered to keep the keys at the front desk. Just lock everything in the car. They have it pretty secured
Information of this nature would need to come from the rafting company.
Constant water fight.. awesome. Bring water guns that can be refilled from the lake.
Nope. Reservations only.

That is a deeply philosophical question for which there are many answers on one hand and no answer on the other.
Turn the raft upside down on the shore and wait under it ontill the lighting is over.
