The psychologist here is 10/10. She was absolutely amazing to work with and very straight to the point with diagnoses. The first therapist I worked with after my diagnosis was Ms. Kara and she was great. She was very relatable and she was absolutely lovely to talk to personally, but I didn't feel a professional connection with her in the way I was hoping to, so I requested to switch. That decision had nothing to do with Ms. Kara and everything to with my own personal preferences. Once I requested to switch, I was scheduled with Delilah who is easily one of the worst people I have ever met. Immediately off the bat, she asked me WHY I was diagnosed with autism. As if WHY is a question someone can answer about hereditary neurodivergence. Once I managed to get past that stupid question, she started blatantly ignoring what I requested to talk about (which was simply how I was struggling to accept being diagnosed with autism at 26 years old), and instead, decided to spend the entire hour talking about her nutrition degree and how if I lost weight and started drinking protein shakes for breakfast, it would magically make my autism all better. It's been almost a year since that conversation and I am still furious every time I think about it. She took a person in an extremely vulnerable mental state and made the situation so much worse than it was to begin with. 100% do not recommend seeing her. I still give Rivertown 3 stars because the psychologist was amazing and Kara was also great. But because of my terrible experience with Delilah, I will not be returning and have made sure to steer other people clear as well.

I just want to say that everybody down there at rivertown psychiatry counseling center has absolutely done everything in their power to help my family heal from deep trauma wounds from our past miss Tiffany and miss laurie are absolutely amazing women who truly care about their work and about their patients and they do everything they can and go above and beyond to help families heal I know that they're helping my family heal. And are going above and beyond to help us do so as a whole unit and not separately and that means more to me than anything in this world thank you rivertown counseling center
