A 9 million dollar 'water park', a 30 million dollar expansion of city government buildings. Who pays for this? Do the residence/land owners? Yes!.... Wait still not enough money to pay for this.... Hmmm...'Oh I know,' says the city council, 'let's sell the city to the highest bidder on walstreet!' Go buy your bit of C-burg for 200 bucks friends, before the globalists gobble it up! (Oops too late ;-) )

Horrible customer service Every since I have had a account here it has been a very bad experience I call in and get put on hold just for rep to hold phone then when she feels like it she hangs up on me and it’s the same rep every time cause she knows my voice and name as well as I know her name and voice I know it’s not a coincidence just horrible!!!!!!!!

Hostile, Rude, & Love Harassing Citizens. Inconsistent & Unprofessional. I've lived all over the US (and some parts of Europe) and this is the first city government that actively makes living in a place worse. The highlight is getting a notice about my lawn (my gardeners were a couple days late as I'm a disabled vet.) But meanwhile the entire front of the house next to me fell off into the lawn for like a month... No notice. Genuinely feels like they target and harass people vs. pursue what is best for the community as a whole. And when called out on it they act like children. Its a shame as the borough has a lot going for it, if only they had people who wanted to be there for the right reasons vs. people collecting a paycheck. (I will give credit to their police department though, they seem genuinely wanting to defuse situations vs a lot of departments who aren't as well versed on it.)

Questions & Answers

Please tell me why the safety of the children in the community is not a concern for Mr. Stonehill? Rain on trick or treat night is one thing, but most of if not all of franklin county is under a tornado watch. Is it really that hard to reschedule?

Policy decisions are made by Town Council and not Mr Stonehill. You can reschedule trick or treat to anytime safe and convenient to your family.

I googled it and it shows it's a area of land for sale,If your asking like what it is, Google shows there's nothing there but land!

How can we ask for a business to come into our community? Would love to see a Smoothie King and a Bojangles here in our area plus a Pnc bank maybe all on Lincoln Hwy.near Wal-Mart or in Walker road.Get this to city management. Thanks

Robert, attracting a specific business is very challenging. Usually shopping center landlords and retailers hire agents to search for towns they may want to move into. The towns themselves cannot do much to impact the research and negotiations between the landlords and the store owners. The landlords who own the shopping centers do most of the work attracting (or not) new businesses. My only suggestion is to contact the retailers you like (i.e. Smoothie King) and suggest that they check out Chambersburg. Not that it will impact the negotiations, but it cannot hurt. And who knows, maybe it will start them looking at putting a store here. In conclusion, in general, not much a town can do to attract a specific business so the town just has to be, for all businesses, friendly.
