I'm the former Mancos, CO, Town Marshal and I'm responsible for Cottonwood Park being an off-leash area for dogs. It's a large, rustic area and the Mancos River is its southern boundary. (For those of us from the Midwest we'd call it a big creek.) There's a perimeter trail and a couple that criss-cross the open interior portion of the park. A bunch of friendly people and dogs use the park on a daily basis. If you're traveling through southwest Colorado and need a great place to exercise your pooch, Cottonwood is only 3 blocks south off of US Highway 160.

Great off- leash dog park but evidence that owners are failing to pick up waste, best to watch your step. There is no poop fairy, we all need to help keep the space enjoyable for everyone

We love Cottonwood Park. Great way to exercise our dogs & meet fellow dog lovers. Well kept & clean too! Too bad it's by a sewage plant though.

Nice dog park in Mancos. Great for a walk along the river with no one telling you to leash your pup!
