Always loved this park as a child and as a grown up I still love it.

The park is great but this rating is for the pool. Rude staff. They were yelling at kids all the time. There's a huge list of rules including no life jackets, most goggles, no shorts or tanks even those made for swim wear. While I was paying 3 staff were telling me the rules all at the same time, speaking over each other. My kids didn't want to be there when they observed how the staff were so intense and barking orders all the time. Just a very tense place. Care givers can't go near pool in street clothes. Hair and grass in pool.

Visiting town and on our last day decided to relax at the community pool. Big let down. I read the rules posted online and we still got reprimanded for several reasons within the first few minutes of paying over $30 to get in. Overall, rude staff, beautiful facility. Could've been a great day, but we took a loss and left after less than an hour. FYI make sure you call and ask about floatation devices for young swimmers. Yes, they close the pool for adult swim every 45 minutes even if there are only 12 people in the pool to begin with. And clothing is a huge sticking point. Check the rules before you waste your money or time.

Great city park! Ashland has a gem. Mini golf redone looks 100% better & very fun. Great yoders ice cream!

They do have some picnic tables but not sure about grills, I don't think so but not positive.
I believe it was started in the early 70's and opened about then with the golf course first.
They start in June and there is usually a calender that you can pick up at the library or go online and check for exact dates.
