Apartments are very old and are in need of many modifications. Too many reoccurring maintenance issues to involved multiple gas leaks, severe plumbing issues causing flooding in the units multiple times in which came from other people's toliets and places where there was running water. Management was constantly changing every five to six months, in which some managers lacked communication, management and people skills. Many things that needed to be fixed where either patched up or half done. No one rarely answered the office phone during regular business hours. I actually stood somewhere out of sight, called from my cell phone as I watched the manager just sitting at her desk. When asking to speak to the manager upon my call being answered, the manager spoke in third person stating the manager was not there and would return after 1:30. Many potential residents and current residence who were on government assistance programs would constantly run into problems with their already completed paperwork mysteriously disappearing when applying for an apartment or renewing their lease then are made to redo the paperwork again or make them reproduce documents that are time consuming to retrieve. Sometimes such process is time consuming that it would usually go over the appointed date to return all paperwork. Once it goes over the date, they will get a letter stating they fail to comply all the while they are working someone else into the unit that the potential resident applied for, just to be told the apartment is no longer vacant. I later found out one of the managers did me the same way by placing my documents in another person's file, then writing me a letter threatening to stop my lease due to non-compliance, yet she was the same manager that took my original documents and signed off it herself. The manager wrote a handwritten letter in which she falsified information and fasley accused me of something I didn't do. Even the residents personal information where not protected due to this same manager allowing a resident who was her friend help her file and manage private information of the tenants. She had this same individual spying on people so she can report back to the office. And instead of talking to the resident that was reported on, this manager went by heresay and wrote people up without warning. A neighbor actually said to me that they asked her to watch certain people so she could report on them and that's when it came out about the friend. Shortly after that I became a victim of tax fraud which was so coincidental after this person and this manager were handling my file. This manager was fired and the resident was evicted after different regional and corporate managers came to the office because Northgate was being audited. These statements I made are hereby true based on the testomonies of many disgruntle residents who actually shared their concerns with me about the things mentioned above.

I stayed there with my mom for about 6 years...everything was great . It’s a very great community and place to stay. North gate was a wonderful place to grow up . I highly recommend NorthGate as a place to stay.
