Is there any logical reason they have a $1 million + police budget for a town of less than 2500 citizens ? No, there isnt. You could probably get by with just a few full time cops. Much of the time the cops just sit out in plain view at the parks or turkey hill trying to catch the lonesome "speeder " or petty drug charge because they're so bored they dont have anything better to do. And you wonder why your taxes are so obscene...its a combination of the police department, the terrible school district and bad boro leadership.

We've come to love these folks! We operate a small business here and have had cause to call them for minor things in the past. They've always protected us, our best interests, and have been kind and helpful. They're quick to respond, and usually very polite. We're lucky to have such a commited, ethical, and honest department.

Did you happen to get a name or badge number? If you were concerned, that would be the first thing you should get as a reference. It would seem like you put this up to be malicious. In the future, if it would appear that a service dog isn't getting fed enough, maybe offer assistance to the Officer on duty. You never know if they've been on a long shift and/or if they are short staffed. Then let them know you're willing to get something for them and their K-9.
It sounds like you have a neighbor hater out there reporting your vehicles. BUT if they were inspected, you would have been fine. If the reason that you didn't have your vehicle was financial, you can request assistance at the local and state level. If there was another reason, you can always call the HPD and communicate with them about your situation and ask for a way to resolve it with the resources that you have available.
