Located in the quaint town of Dolores, the Rio Grande Southern Hotel is a charming and historic establishment. The room was clean and breakfast was delicious! 10/10 would recommend

My wife and I were fortunate enough to stay at the Rio for almost 2 months while between jobs. As motel managers, we are critical while on the road, but we found no major complaints. The hotel is kept clean and Susy is a very warm & friendly host. The town of Dolores made her shut down the beer garden and the restaurant was available to guests only, but we don't drink beer so no problem for us. However, guests can bring their own beer. We loved our room, the pink room. all the rooms on the second floor were nicely decorated in individual themes and one can truly get a sense of history and almost feel the people that had come before us. Some marginal people live there as we are in the Obama days, but nobody was dangerous or made us uncomfortable. If I ever found a reason to return to Colorado, I would stay at the Rio.
