The Blue Door is one of my favorite Bay Ridge spots to eat. Food is consistently good and service is friendly. Only complaint from my last visit on 12/4/21 - it was very cold in the restaurant. I think they have one heating unit in the entire restaurant and it's insufficient. It was so cold my entire party of 6 decided to leave to go to a different restaurant for coffee and dessert, rather than sitting there being uncomfortable. I was also there in the summer and had a similar experience with being extremely warm. The owners need to invest in a better HVAC system.

The staff was rude and the smell was not inviting. Disappointed. I know very well the great taste and smell of a Greek souvlaki almost to the point of addiction. This is not the place to try it. Don’t get confused with the appearance.

Ordered gyro and came cold and weird tasting, not even close to greek food2(yrs ago) So i did a review 2 yrs ago for this place after 2yrs i went back and nthng changed on top they gave me cold gyro whith bonus hair in it and a table with bugs one of the bugs decided to refresh her self going in to my glass of wine .The kid that was serving us nothing to do with greek hospitality HORRIBLE SERVICE ,HORRIBLE FOOD !!!NOT RECOMENDED AIN'T GOING BACK !

Food was good however, upon arrival the waiter/host informed me we couldn’t be seated due to the fact we were missing one person. Due to rush hour something like that yet they were only two tables being occupied inside and throughout the evening I seen him allowed people to sit even if they were missing people!!!
