Amazing experience at Gramercy Tavern. So, it was our first time visiting Gramercy Tavern, and we actually got recommended by several people. It was totally amazing time. The atmosphere was casual but very well operated at the same time. Gramercy Tavern has two parts in the restaurant. ‘The Tavern’ is where you can sit casually around the hole area and order A La Carte, but if you make reservation for the ‘Dining Room’, you’ll get Five course tasting menu which you’ll be seated further inside of the restaurant. Wine listing, cocktail menu was amazing. We started with two Martinis and a cocktail called Fig. All of the course menus were very delicate and well served. It’s not as fancy as other fine dining restaurant, but you can enjoy fancy good food with a casual atmosphere! Highly recommend for people who would like avoid touristic overpriced restaurant!

Expect to spend about $100 to $150 per person.
open at 2pm outdoor dining
If it is raining they will call you and reschedule
The main dining room menu is 3 courses total. You pick a first and second course and then a dessert. You can also choose a tasting menu which is about 6 courses. In the Tavern Room, everything is a la carte.
No jacket and no tie required but otherwise dressed appropriately for the occasion.
It's a $31 burger. They will always have enough for everyone. Lol.
Yes
Well it's a summer night so there might not be a mad rush and long lines for a seat but the tavern is usually busy on a Saturday night. If you get there at 8, you'll probably have to wait at the bar (if there is space) or give your number for them to call and you won't get a seat until 9. I'd say get there at 6:45 - 7 and see if there is space and put your name down for them to call you when a table opens up so you can stay right in the neighbourhood and do something. Just don't wait too long, those seats won't stay empty for long!
No
We had a group of 5 and sat at very comfortable table in the main dining room. We had asked for a quiet table, because we had members of our party who were hard of hearing. Sitting in the main dining room was perfectly fine. It wasn't too loud. I don't know about the bar area though.
I would call and check, since I think Danny Meyers closes for most holidays
You bet, a drink is great. If you show up around 6:30 pm, that is still on the early side in NYC bars and restaurants. Go for it!
Yes
It does not. There is a paired wine menu though at a fixed cost.
