I had a great, hands-on experience at this school! Would definitely recommend to anyone who is thinking about bartending but doesn't know where to start. Lessons were easy to follow along with and the practice helped to boost my confidence behind the bar! Was also happy to find out about the lifetime refresher courses and job placement, I will be sure to take advantage of that.

I have had a great time at ABS ...they are very well trained and professional and would recommend them at any time

Well, I’d have to start off with the initial Communication with ABS’s reps Vanessa and Dave went amazing, very informative very consistent and persistent. They were very available and willing to reschedule when needed. I was finally able to schedule an “interview” little did I know this would start pleasant and end up just disgusted and unfortunately unprofessional. At first Jean was pleasant very informative very knowledgeable about the bartending industry. A lot of personal experience. Mind you this was a 2 - 4 people interview, then 30 minutes in halfway through the “interview” 2 other interviewer come in honestly interrupting what Jean was trying to convey. I guess this made her a bit mad? Not mine and or the other gentleman's fault we arrived 40-30 minutes before our expected time. Well closer to the 45-1hr mark Jean seems annoyed and very dismissive of all of us, when she gets to the “Ok $800+ is the cost what are you going to pay with?” everyone a bit confused? We thought she would speak with us individually to discuss cost and payment plans like we were told via the chat. This was not the case she expected all of us to pass our credit cards to her or cash and pay to hold the placement date. Not everyone was available for Sep 26 granted I'm sure the more enrolled the better. I wanted to enroll for mid-October but she wanted me to pay in full right now. Don't get me wrong id still give this school a try it seems like a great place to start a bartending career path but Jean disregarded us all after she thought no one was going to pay right this moment right away like” pay up”. She wouldn't even say “id like to see you all back soon “ nothing! She said very distastefully “This is bullshit” wow! The professionalism of this lady is off the charts!! ABS desperately needs to retrain Jean I think everyone would have placed a downpayment or a hold if she wasn't so dismissive or unprofessional.

The most expansive bartender school in New York and the worse service really rude. Trying to cancel my membership before starting the school and they keep telling me to call back later. Went to their building and had me waiting an hour then they told me they are not doing it because their to busy.

Give them a call to schedule an interview
495 dollars but you can pay in increments
Hi Marko, thanks for reaching out. Are you planning a trip to the U.S.? If so we’d be thrilled to enroll you in our course. Let us know when you are coming and what other questions you have.
excellent school
The classes are taught in English. We also have an Instructor that speaks fluent Spanish.
Our refund policy is printed on the reverse side of our enrollment agreement. Eligibility for a refund is case sensitive based on the amount of classes accrued. If no classes were attended, the only responsibility would be the registration fee, which is non-refundable.
You can call or text the school at the following number (917) 746-0411
No. Only in English, but it is a good investment to take those classes once you learn English.
Call up if you can come over for a tour and they will give you all the information you need how to enroll and all extra information about what kind of classes you have how long its going to take
Hi Pau, Great question, thanks for writing in. At the moment we do not have weekend classes, however we do offer 3 times each day Monday - Friday. You can choose from 9am - 1pm, 1:30pm - 5:30pm or 6pm - 10pm. We can also customize a schedule that works for you Mon- Fri. We'd love to have you for a tour of the school where you can sit in on a live class to see what it's like.
Hey, contact the school and speak with a representative on how you can get started!
The fee was 495 in August 2017. The course is 10 x 4 hour modules. There are 3 shifts, running roughly from: 9 to 1, 1 to 5 and 5 to 9. There is also a Flex variation where you can pick and choose. This is a basic course for entry level students. It teaches the some of the classic cocktails and methodology. The instructors are caring and there is an excellent job placement department. Do not expect to come out as a flashy bartender that will light up Vegas or Ibiza the next day.
Two weeks, forty hours for certification.
