My mother and I had an appointment this after noon, and one of the security guard( His name is J. Moreno) he treated the both of us like trash. He probably assumed that we didn’t speak English. He kept saying, “Oh my god” and “Jesus!” I’m not sure because we are Asian, but I have never been treated like that in my life. However, Immigration officer at window 8 was very professional and helpful!

My Aunt is 85 years old World War II refugee who fled eastern Prussia from the Russians at the end of the war as a child. My uncle, retired US Army, Vietnam and Korea veteran, passed away 12 years ago so he is not here to help her. She dropped her wallet in the PX at Randolf and someone ran off with it with her Texas ID, Green Card, Social Security Card credit cards and money. We have been trying everything to help get her a replacement green card and this system is EVEN LESS THAN USELESS! She only uses a cell phone when she travels to visit us or her niece and does not have a computer. No one will speak to you. No help. No service. She is ready to pack up and move back to Germany. As a descendent of a Mayflower voyage leader, I am appalled at the complete ineptitude of this system.

If you told me a while ago that I was going to write a positive review about USCIS, I would've laughed. Yes, it's very backlogged and I waited almost two years, but my interview to remove conditions went without a hitch. From the security, to the staff and especially the agent that conducted my interview (you know who you are, thank you for being so cool) everyone was friendly/kind, which helped ease my nerves. I especially appreciate that they have rooms, I love that it's private which is a very different experience from USCIS Juarez. I'm so grateful for how I was treated and how efficient everything was. Good luck to everyone!

Of course you can do it!
Yes the office is going to be open if you have an appointment letter. I am a employee that works there. Please show up to your appointment.
It might be. I had mine on the 19th and it was canceled as well due to the weather. Only difference is I showed up and that's how I found out. I never received an email.
If you are enrolled with food stamps (SNAP) it should be waived with no fee.
You should probably call them instead.
It differs depending on your case. Check their website at uscis.gov
If it is an emergency, the receptionist may receive it.
The office is open on Fridays but there are only a few appointments. If you have one, then it was created for a specific purpose other than an interview.
Need to contact USCIS. EDITED to add. Most of us answering questions are not USCIS employees.
I don't know but you're honestly way better off either printing it and filling it out by hand or filling it out electronically and printing it that way.
I think you have to call and schedule an appointment.
Just be patient or you can go to any field office, they will be able help you out.

You need ask this to an immigration lawyer! But I think you can file a report to USCIS about this incident!
at uscis.gov
Not, this office processes immigration services for all nationalities as far as i am concerned
Your resident card and your confirmation appointment that should be all
I would go to the appointment and explain the situation to the officer at the front desk. If you don't go they might deny your case.
Not unless you have an appointment or an emergency. Visit the USCIS website or call.the 800 number for help. Depending on what you need an appointment may be scheduled for you, but someone needs to hear your inquiry first.
No one is allowed inside the building, only the person for the interview.
I see two responses. - one of them saying only the person for interview is allowed. Can someone from the USCIS field confirm. My son is 7yrs old.
I'm not sure. If you live near there. I would just stop by.
yes
Can my husband go here to get an extension to go in and out of the Country because the renewal of his green card is taking a long time. Also we would like to know in what stage his case is in.
Consult with an immigration lawyer. USCIS will only give you basic answers.
Nick, you won't need to do anything. The office will reschedule for oath ceremony automatically. Please log in into your USCIS account every day starting from Monday. If you have not received any notification by next Friday please call 1 800-375-5283 or create a service request online https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/Intro.do. Stay safe!
Mr. Malhotra, check for updates later today. Also, check your USCIS account for more information.
It was open a month ago. Not sure today.
I don't know I was at Home Depot next door
Yes Green cards and citizenships.. but first you apply online and then u get an invite for interview.. They don't accept anyone without interview schedule
Great question, I'll look it up.
Depending on your form there is a specific direct filing address. You can find it online at uscis.gov.
The one in San Antonio is working
If you have already processed the renewal of your residence and you are waiting for it, immigration offices should grant you an extension.
I only arrived 15 minutes early and I do not know how to allow companions. Bring your nasobuco and your gel. Everything is very fast.
Go on USCIS.gov and search for "replace green card" or "lost green card". They usually have a link on the front page though.
What are you renewing?
Send a letter to the office where you had to go. The address is in the appointment letter, explain why you lost it and it is a reason why you have an excuse send the attached test and ask to be made a new appointment again. If you have lost more than one it is likely that they will not do another, but write and do not delay in doing so.
It will cost a few thousand dollars but talk to a lawyer please. Do not depend on a "chat" on the Internet.
Yes yes you have those tests
You can return as you wish ...
Yes, with your expired green card, the extension and a current passport from your country
Hi Sara, make sure it is really lost. A replacement card costs 540.00 dllrs. If it's actually lost, hopefully you have a photo copy of it. You have to submit Form I-90. You can file it online. Make sure you go to USCIS official webpage. WWW.USCIS.DHS.GOV there are many scammers that will appear legit and charge you but not submit the application for you. If you have a photo copy of the lost card, uploaded as part of the evidence, it will help expedite the case. Also, a new replacement card can take anywhere from 9 months to a year. Make sure your address is clear and correct. They do get lost or returned in the mail and that just adds to the wait time. Once you receive your receipt accepting the case, call the 800 number and schedule an appointment at your local office to get your country's passport stamped. This will serve as proof of your residence. The passport should be valid in case you have to travel. Hope this helps.
I would recommend call the office first or go online regarding renewing your card. Do you live in San Antonio?
I think these kind of certification you can take it from the city hall or the court
You'll need to call to our calling center 1 800-375-5283. Due to the nature of your emergency they should schedule an appointment immediately.
You know that's not a USCIS thing. If he's not a US citizen I hope you have your paperwork in order As long as he has a passport. And you do need both parents to get one if you don't already have one..
They ask you what you are going for and if you have an appointment. And they check the papers you carry if necessary. Remember that there is the immigration office.
Please call 1-800-375-5283 and provide your N400 receipt number to a representative for oath ceremony information.
Jose Carlos, many of the officers are bilingual. If the officer does not speak Spanish, a translator will be provided.
Wrong department. Try Canadian Embassy?
There's a whole process you have to go through you can't just make an appointment. My fingerprint appointment, an interview appointment came from USCIS. https://www.uscis.gov/citizenship/learners/apply-citizenship
I think u need call them to make another appointment bc by now ur Case will put on hold or dismiss
Huh
USCIS.gov tells you where each application should be sent. Each application also comes with instructions.
The INS is now the USCIS and they do not do passports. Passports are done by the US State Department but you must go to a post office to begin the application.
We'll be close on Monday, May 28th. Are you schedule for an Interview or for an Infopass appointment?
You need just your id and birth certificade
Use ur extension later u received from uscis after u apply to renew ur GC
You can go to Mexico all you want without a passport. But you're going to have a fun time getting back into the US
No you have a machine there to let you get a appointment. They will set you appointment. And notify you.
They really have an excellent website. https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/after-green-card-granted/renew-green-card
If you are in active duty military, you could just walk in without schedule. Otherwise, you have to make an infopass apppointment in their website or via the infopass kiosk at uscis san antonio.
You can only make an appointment through their website. There's always at least a 2 week wait so keep checking everyday.
You can get extension on your residence while the citenzship process is going through.
It does not just apply The paper
You need to request an appointment in migration to renew it They give you all the documents you need
It depends what kind of visa you came on that allowed you to get a greencard. They all have set yrs before you can apply for citizenship
You should come into the office and make an appointment for them. They will get an answer on what they should next.
If you have a lawyer in a year or less if they have children
Hi .. I'm in the same situation ... and they gave me a letter of exten- sion for a year ... If the letter has already expired can I make an appointment to get another extension to travel and work?
They will need a US passport. You can get them at a us post office.
The office is open Monday - Friday.
540 is the correct.I just did
Department Of Homeland Security.
20760 N US Highway 281 San Antonio, TX 78258 Between Planet Fitness and Home Depot.
To reschedule an appointment you have to fill out a form on the uscis page and it has to be a few days in advance of your appointment, as what happened to you was the mere day you had the little one. I'm not sure where it comes from. .. I would recommend k call them directly and expose your case, they are very kind and attentive alo alo ke you think luck
For what?
I believe you need to submit a form by mail and pay a fee. You can get the form here or on the website.
