I’ve seen Dr. Cowart for 16 years now and he is truly a gem of a doctor and person. He is compassionate and cares for his patients. He will answer any questions you have - you may not like the answer he gives you (sometimes I don’t lol) but he’s never rude or ugly about it. It’s his job to keep his patients healthy and educated. I completely trust him with my care over any other doctor I see and he makes the 2 hour round trip drive worth it!!

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! Zero Stars! Today was the last day my wife came home crying form her OB appointment at 22 weeks pregnant. (with our second child) Luckily we do not have any complications from the baby, but this doctor is incompetent and forgets that he works for US. He is very much "my way or the highway" and would not even answer basic questions that my wife had such as vaccines, circumcision, birthing aids, personal preferences, etc. He never attempted to answer any questions and kept saying that I was "finding all of my information on the internet" Well... we were there trying to ask the questions and he would not answer. His mega-mind of doctoral knowledge and research could not be shared to us peasants. We had to trust in his "process" and if we didn't like it - oh well. Along with him not wanting to answer our questions, he continuously made comments that made my wife feel uncomfortable such as "hello beautiful" and commenting on her under-garments when performing standard exams. On the last visit he belittled my wife when she mentioned "blood work" and proceeded to tell her some medical difference between "blood work" and other tests taken from your blood... Today's visit was the last straw, my wife felt totally uncomfortable, and when she calmly tried to ask questions (LIKE EVERY MOM HAS) he literally said "You are wasting my time, I do not have time for this" "where are you getting this information, the internet?" YES JACKASS I AM READING STUDIES ON THE INTERNET (WHERE ELSE WOULD I GO) AND TRYING TO ASK YOU, A MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL, WHAT YOUR PROFESSIONAL OPINIONS ARE. Overall this man is rude, inappropriate, un-professional, and does not care for the wellbeing of my wife or unborn child. I do NOT trust him with providing any medical care to anyone I love.

After experiencing a gut-wrenching miscarriage this weekend, the last thing I wanted to do was see a doctor for them to tell us what we already knew. When my husband Lucas and I were called back for our appointment, our nurse Mary met us with open arms. She hugged and cried with me and made me feel like family. Dr. Cowart was so incredibly comforting and reassuring. I’ve never met such a caring doctor. We hope one day we have the pleasure of experiencing a successful pregnancy and childbirth with Dr. Cowart and his team. 💛

I found Dr Cowart through just a google search and honestly, I’m so, so glad I did. I visited Dr Cowart for a first pre-natal appointment. Upon entering the office I was immediately met with friendly office staff who made checking in easy. The nurses were all so sweet and professional. They made me feel completely cared for and listened to. When Dr Cowart came in the room he put me at ease immediately and explained everything about himself, the practice, our future visits, and chatted with me about life in general. It felt like meeting with a friend more than a doctor. This is my second pregnancy and I was worried because some things were very different from my first. I was taken to the sonogram room and the technician could not have been nicer. She and the other nurses and staff were aware of my concerns and when the sonogram showed my worst fears were reality, she was so kind. Dr. Cowart spoke with me and my husband, and in the midst of an awful situation, he made us feel so cared for. He was compassionate and also very thorough in explaining what he could about what had happened to our baby. I’ll never forget my first visit at this practice for some very painful reasons. But I’ll also never forget the amazing care I received at the hands of people who were just meeting me and my husband. If God wills, I will be back. And until then, I will be telling everyone I know about how wonderful Dr. Cowart and this practice are.
