Even though it is an hours drive from my home, and there are other fabric stores that are closer, I love shopping here. The staff are extremely nice, and the quality is 100%. Since I like working with scraps, they always have a selection of them, and my favorite part is driving home, and opening the little packages, and enjoying what I bought, and thinking of what I can do with it all.

I love shopping in Sew What’s New. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I was looking for a “preloved” high end embroidery machine. As soon as they got a trade-in they called me to test it out. I bought it on the spot. If you are into any kind of sewing or yarn crafting this is the store for you. They carry fabrics and yarns you won’t find at big box stores.

I found the store when I started crocheting a few months ago back when they could only take curbside orders. I knew I could get yarn at the big craft stores but I was curious to see if there was somewhere local that I could support. Since then I've been in the shop numerous times to get yarn, buttons, and, most importantly for a novice like me, guidance. The ladies there really know their craft and are happy to offer advice when asked. Please, now more than ever, come in and see if they have what you need for all of your quilting, sewing, knitting and crocheting needs! They also do sewing machine repairs! If you want to call ahead and ask first they're very prompt at answering the phone as well. I can't say enough nice things about this shop. Come in and see for yourself!

Hi Harriet We sell Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff sewing/embroidery machines. We are open from 10 to 5 Monday through Saturday and Sunday 12 - 4. We do offer sewing classes and to learn the sewing machine itself is free with the purchase of a machine from us. I hope this was helpful
You have to be 16 years old and you would need to come in to the store and speak to the manager or owner. Right now all we are hiring for would be to help teach with kids classes on Saturdays. If you are still interested you can stop in any day of the week after 2 p.m. or after 12 on Saturdays. I hope this was helpful to you.
No but we do take donations throughout the year for Light House. Mission.
