Camp Itasca

Itasca State Park was full so we decided to give this campground a try. Used the "primitive" camping. If you are pulling a trailer you can make it back there but it is tight. They do have trailer parking available but we were not comfortable leaving all of our fishing gear unattaneded. The website brags about 40 acres of camping but it is smaller primitive sights. Garbage bags in the woods with god knows what in them left from previous campers. Hole in the screening of the toilet area back there. All in all, if you are in a pinch, it will work.

Love love love this place! Its a Beautiful spot and I wish we could've stayed a week! Lots of beautiful paths and perfect weather this time of year!

We had an amazing time at Camp Itasca!!! Camp site was nice and large. Staff was friendly!!! My family really enjoyed themselves. Would defiantly come back. Also very close to Itasca state park!!! The deer Molly was a nice added bonus!!!!

Just right outside the North entrance to Itasca State Park, this campground has become our new home when we come to visit. The sites are clean, they have showeres, they sell ice and wood, and are very friendly. Camp Itasca is great for families as well, due to the amount of space to run around, the play ground, and the respect factor that is "usually" provided by other campers. Its very quiet at night, with the exception of raccoons chatting in trees, owls asking the obvious question "who", and frogs singing to the rhythm of the land.
