If a civil service test was involved one must wait for the exam list to be posted and then one would be called in based on your test ranking and a randomization process. For resume type jobs soon after the deadline, qualified applicants are invited to come in for a an interview. Keep in mind there may be hundreds or thousands competing for one or a handful of positions. Consider also being examined for train conductor, bus operator or station agent jobs each in its way interfaces with the riding public. Once an MTA hire you can apply for other positions within the agency. I started out as a temporary toll collector with TBTA and ended up retiring from a supervisory job with the NYCT Subway Maintenance of Way Signals group. Good luck Tiffany
Yes. It takes about 1hr through the process
You have to go there and talk to them in person. This is for MetroCard not for parking meters.
Buster crab when you ask a queation on here it goes to google users not the actual business. So like Johnny Yuen said best to call the number on the back of your card or go in person.
No! I’m a senior who lives in NJ but works in NYC. With proof of age, no problem obtaining reduced senior metro card.
65 or older and person (no age) who is disabled. Disability will have to go through screening by doctor from MTA at the MTA office.
You will need a metro card.
