While visiting our loved one, we were impressed by the courteous staff, the attentive care paid to our loved one, the overall cleanliness and bright cheerful atmosphere of the Luxor. We were afforded privacy for our shared time and experienced a day that made us all comfortable, happy and at peace.

‼️Be very wary if you are thinking of putting your loved one in this facility. If you buy anything of any value, do NOT leave it there, take it home and bring it with you every time you visit. Otherwise, the workers will steal it. Even though cash gifts are NOT allowed, the aides encourage gift cards. Felipe insisted we watch a 15-minute video of his surprise birthday party insinuating everyone who sees the video is compelled to give him a gift. What?! Felipe, is very good to the patient if you slip him a minimum of $50 as much as possible. Greedy and shady character. Now let's talk about the financial coordinator at Luxor Nursing. The facility makes it difficult for the POA to buy the resident things with their monthly allowance of $50. When you request a reimbursement, the financial coordinator gets mad. Why? I wasn’t aware it was her money. I wasn’t aware she is part owner of the facility either! Why are you bothered? What is the issue? If the designated person is the POA, then the patient appointed them because they trust them. We are talking about peanuts, these residents are not wealthy but on Medicaid so get a grip! The stimulus check by law is not for the nursing home, but they scooped that up too. The financial coordinator got angry when asked to please return the stimulus check to the patient. Instead, the nursing home has its own bank account where they keep the patient's money and the POA has to show the financial coordinator the receipt for refund approval when they buy something for the resident. Something is very wrong here. I do NOT want a lecture or a long drawn out process to buy stuff for my loved one. Luxor, wants to keep the patients money and they don't want the appointed family member using the funds ON THE PATIENT. Financial coordinator “THE MONEY DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU” so don’t forget that!!!! Make sure you read the contract carefully and DON’T SIGN or initial the arbitration forms. Google what are the cons when you take that route. It’s not in your best interest. My recommendation is do not even consider Luxor Nursing Home. ‼️‼️‼️‼️FYI, FAKE FIVE STAR REVIEWS!! READ ALL THE ONE STAR REVIEWS AT THE END, those are from real family members not from the staff.

My poor uncle was released today. He has very advanced dementia and cancer. Not only did they not know he was Being released today, but he was covered in his own fecal matter, shavings, and god knows what else. Every time we visited him he had new injury that nobody could recall how it happened. I’d post the posts but they are quite horrific. My uncle is a navy vet, was a school teacher for 40 years, and the captain of the Jones beach life guards for 30. It’s disgraceful.,

Lack of transparency. They tell you everything is fine and that everything is going well, but then multiple patients and the visitors gave us a different story which means Luxor isn’t giving us all of the information and/or misinformation.

Not sure now because of COVID-19. But if you call them they will be able to help and they are extremely friendly
That's the worst place to work, the staff is mean and the always short.
