Peking Duck House is open and survived the Covid onslaught that closed most Chinese restaurants in midtown Manhattan. The food and service are both very good - I was hoping to find spicy Chinese dishes but this restaurant did not offer them because it specializes in Northern Style. But I was very happy anyway.

The jelly fish is a must eat. Cooked right. So good. Peking Duck is what most customers come here for, but I will add the jelly fish for sure!!!

This is not quite as good as the one on Mott Street downtown, but they do have the same ducks and don't make it too dry and have the soup as a second course. We were able to take the bones home, too. I liked the broccoli and the orange beef dishes too.

There will come a point in the meal where you have decided that the main problem is the service, only to lift the lid off your pancake tray to discover that they are using use flour tortillas (Old El Paso though I can’t be sure) as the pancakes for their Peking duck.

They usually are open on holidays, and yes, make reservations. They get very busy those days.
